WatchMyCell is a simple program made to keep you from having to pay overages. It periodically checks your minutes from your provider and if you get close to going over it will send you an email or sms. It runs from your computer and is extremely lightweight. It covers many major providers and more are being added. Don't pay for going over your minutes.

With Jott.com, you just call in, leave a message and soon you'll find a transcript of your message in your inbox. This can be extremely handy. Fring is software that runs on your data enabled mobile phone. It works by using your data connection for VoIP and texting to connect to Skype, Google Talk, and other Fringers. This saves your talk minutes, assuming that your data plan is unlimited as most are. It even jumps between 3G and Wi-Fi connections when available. (It is currently in beta and may not always be free)
GrandCentral is a new web service that provides you with a new phone number that you can set up to ring any number even several simultaneously.
